Suzanne Lightborn , Community Rep For Working Interpreters (email)

Suzanne Lightbourn, RID CI, CT, NIC Master and Texas IV, Legal, has her M.S.W. from New Mexico State University. She has been involved with the Deaf Community since 1984 and hails from El Paso, Texas by way of San Francisco, California. She is a freelance interpreter in San Diego County but will also travel to any part of the world to interpret. She works on a national level with RID in serving previously on the Certification Council, as a NIC Test Content Expert and on the RID National Conference Committee. At present, Suzanne interprets plays, cruise vacations, post secondary settings, VRS and in legal settings. Her passion is Legal interpreting and advancing the level of interpreters who are trilingual. In her free time, Suzanne works closely with the Queer community. She lives with her girlfriend in Oceanside.
