Naomi Sheneman, MA & MS, is currently working as one of the Directors for Network Interpreting Service, Inc. She was previously the Interpreting Services Supervisor for the San Diego Community College District. Before this administrative position, she taught for a total of seven years in the ASL (ASLTA-Professional) and interpreter training fields in four different states. In addition to teaching, she wrote and revised curricula for ASL and interpreting training courses and professional development workshops. She was also an evaluator of signing and interpreting competencies using different tools, including EIPA. She was involved in the grant projects for K-12 educational interpreters in the states of New York, California and Arizona by providing training to prepare them for the upcoming state educational interpreting certification requirements.
