Emily Nelson, NIC and EIPA 4.1, has been involved with the Deaf community for 10 years. After graduating from the Interpreter training program in Seattle Washington, she moved to sunny San Diego in 2007 to begin a new life with her husband and start her career. Currently, Emily works as a Staff interpreter with Network Interpreting Services and freelances for Sorenson. Emily loves to learn and grow from new experiences. She is also passionate about connecting fellow interpreters with scholarship opportunities towards certification. When not working, she enjoys projects around the house, playing with her dogs, kayaking and of course skydiving!
