Connie Mather, NAD V has been professionally interpreting for the past 12 years and certified since 2002. Asa CODA, her involvement with the Deaf Community has been life long.Connie's professional interpreting career includes the full gamut ofinterpreting environments such as all levels of Educational,Government/Business, Performing Arts, Legal and she has extensiveinterpreting experience working in Mental Health and VRS settings. Shecurrently is a freelance interpreter in the San Diego area, though shehas worked as a staff interpreter for two well established agencies onthe East Coast. Originally from Maryland, Connie has spent time living in Columbus, Ohio, Chicago, IL and most recently relocated from Tampa, FL. Shehas been a member of the local RID affiliate chapter in the cities shehas lived in, OCRID and Bay- FRID and looks forward to being moreinvolved as Secretary for SDCRID. Connieattended Gallaudet University and Towson University; and she iscurrently working towards her goal of earning a law degree.
